Hello and welcome back!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!
A huge thank you goes out to the room parents who hosted our Christmas Party, and those of you who volunteered at the Christmas Fair!! Also, thank you to all of you who have sent gifts, holiday wishes, cards, and prayers for me. It is very much appreciated!
Now that the holidays are over, we can focus a bit more around here and really hit the ground running. The next several months, we will be very busy learning! As mentioned befrore - I am opening our classroom up to "Mystery Readers". This can be a parent or family member who would like to come in and be a surprise guest reader for the kiddos. We have our first reader signed up for this Friday!! Please just send me an email, and we can work out a day and time that works for both of us. Remember, it's a surprise!!!
Parents, this would be a good time to ask your students if they need any new supplies for school. I know many many students are running out of pencils, and there are a few who could use some new crayons. Please replenish supplies, as it will make our days run much smoother. Thank you!
This is also a good time to review my homework policy. Although I do not send home paper homework every night, that does not mean that there is no homework. I expect students to read 15 minutes per evening, and to play FIRST IN MATH several times a week. Log-in names and passwords for FIRST IN MATH are taped to the inside of their planners/agenda books. Also, homework is due the day after it is assigned unless otherwise noted. Assignments that are late or turned in without a name may lose points.
As always, please email me with any questions and/or concerns! I would love to hear your feedback!! Have a great week!
